About Street Life Recovery Program (SLRP)

Street Life Recovery Program LLC (SLRP) is a community-driven organization based in Southeastern Michigan, committed to helping individuals rebuild their lives through compassion, connection, and empowerment. Founded by Edward Ian Robinson, a Certified Peer Support Specialist, Community Health Worker, and author of Drug Dealers Anonymous, SLRP was built on lived experience, resilience, and a deep belief that recovery and self-sufficiency are possible for everyone.

At SLRP, we provide a holistic network of care—blending peer support, non-emergency medical transportation, home care, mobile grooming services, and community education. Our integrated model bridges gaps in traditional systems by meeting people where they are—whether in homes, drop-in centers, group homes, or on the street—delivering dignity-driven services that restore hope and independence.

Our initiatives include:

Mobile Barber & Grooming Services: Offering professional grooming for individuals with limited access, including seniors, veterans, and those with disabilities.

Home Care & Recovery Support: Providing compassionate, person-centered assistance for adults in need of daily living support and behavioral health recovery.

Peer-Led Education & Outreach: Facilitating programs centered on recovery, re-entry, mental health, and financial literacy.

Partnership & Collaboration: Working alongside local organizations like Perfect Place Drop-In Center (PPDC) to expand access to wellness and workforce opportunities.

Every program under the SLRP umbrella is designed to break cycles of dependency, create pathways to employment, and build stronger, healthier communities. We are more than a service provider—we are a movement of restoration and purpose.

Edward Robinson, the Executive Director of the Street Life Recovery Project.

About Me.

Edward Ian Robinson

Edward Ian Robinson is a Certified Peer Support Specialist, Community Health Worker, entrepreneur, and the visionary founder of Street Life Recovery Program LLC (SLRP)—a community-based initiative dedicated to transforming lives through empowerment, recovery, and holistic care.

Rooted in lived experience and guided by purpose, Edward’s work bridges the gap between professional support and human connection. His journey from personal transformation to community leadership has shaped a career focused on helping others navigate recovery, re-entry, and rebuilding with dignity.

As the author of Drug Dealers Anonymous, Edward addresses the root causes of addiction and recidivism with authenticity and insight. His book serves not only as a self-help guide but as a blueprint for systemic change—challenging stigma and promoting self-awareness, accountability, and growth.

Under his leadership, SLRP has expanded to include peer support services, non-emergency medical transportation, mobile barber and grooming services, and home care programs designed for individuals with disabilities, seniors, and those reintegrating after incarceration. Each service reflects his mission to “meet people where they are” and restore a sense of purpose, pride, and independence.

Edward’s professional background includes work with the Department of Corrections and partnerships with local organizations such as the Perfect Place Drop-In Center. He is also trained in Adult Mental Health First Aid (USA) and continues to pursue ongoing education in behavioral health, trauma-informed care, and community development.

Through Street Life Recovery Program, Edward continues to build a legacy of service—one that proves recovery is not just possible, but powerful.

Street Life Recovery Program LLC (SLRP)

Street Life Recovery Program LLC is a community-based social enterprise dedicated to rebuilding lives and restoring hope across Southeastern Michigan. Founded by Edward Ian Robinson, a Certified Peer Support Specialist and Community Health Worker, SLRP was created to bridge the gap between recovery, employment, and community support — empowering individuals to achieve long-term stability and independence.
